Madison first started practicing yoga on and off as a teenager, always appreciating the space her practice allowed her to create for herself on and off the mat. After a running injury, she began a consistent practice to build her connection, comfort, and confidence in her physical body.
The physical and emotional strength she derived from her practice led to the completion of her 200 RYT at Grace and Glory Yoga. Madison’s training in Baptiste and her focus on strength building, individual anatomy, and restoration is based in her deep belief that yoga is for every student and every body. In addition to her 200 RYT, Madison has studied yin at Wake Up Yoga, trauma-informed yoga for youth with the Baptiste Foundation, trauma sensitive yoga and mindfulness for individuals in recovery with Transformation Yoga Project, and will complete the Baptiste Institute’s Advanced Art of Assisting in June 2018.
When not at the studio, Madison works in education operations in Camden, NJ, volunteers with her local neighborhood advocacy group, and enjoys sharing laughs and spending time on and off her mat with her wife and two dogs in Kensington.
Madison's flow classes will be Baptiste-based and restorative classes will be a blend of slow flow and yin based movements.
