Join Certified Health Coach Sally Eisenberg, Clinical Psychologist Dr. Karen Eselson Belding, and Fitness Instructor Ella Cuda to rebalance your mind, body, and spirit. Discover vitality at midlife, and learn more about mindful self care, strength, and wellness. Center, move with balance and grace, and nourish yourself from the inside out. Learn practical strategies to manage osteopenia or osteoporosis.
In the mindfulness portion of the workshop, we will learn about the science behind this popular movement . We will learn some basic techniques for becoming more present with ourselves, with the goal of improving our sense of well being and working toward balance in our lives.
When we move we will focus on a sustainable series of postures that focus on building strength, stabilization, core awareness and balance in the body. Expect to work with light weights, fire up the abdominals, and move through a variety of yoga postures to lengthen and stretch the body mindfully.
Strong bones require more than just calcium - in our nutrition discussion we’ll learn about nutrients and dietary habits that support a healthy skeletal system. Some of the foods may even surprise you! Sally will also provide some delicious bone-healthy food samples and recipes.
About your workshop leaders:
Ella Cuda is a Pilates and Yoga Instructor . She believes in sustainable growth , on and off the mat, and strives for students to discover a unique individual movement style that will serve them over their lifetime . Ella has a BFA in Dance from the University of the Arts. She graduated from Beyond Asana RYS, completing 200 hours of Vinyasa study, as well as the 48- Hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Intensive with Brittany Policastro and a Postpartum Teacher Training Certification with Lara Kohn Thompson. Recently, Ella completed the 450 Hour Pilates Program at Drexel University.
Sally Eisenberg, CHC, is a Health Coach certified by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Columbia University. In 2007, she founded Nourish Ur Life, a nutrition and healthy lifestyle practice located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a mixed media artist, Sally has always been passionate about food, healthy living and integrating both in to her artistic vision. She has been offering healthy cooking classes – empowering others to cook healthfully in their own kitchens. Sally also exhibits her art in and around Philadelphia.
Karen Eselson Belding PsyD is a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience. Her areas of expertise include women’s issues , eating disorders , and trauma. Her approach is integrative and includes a focus on mindfulness . Karen maintains a private practice in center city Philadelphia .
Our Workshop and Event Cancellation Policy is as follows:
In order to cancel and receive either a credit to your MindBody account or a credit card refund, you will need to cancel more than 72 hour prior to the event. Any cancellations within 72 hours of the event will be considered a late cancel and will result in forfeiture of workshop fee paid.
In the event that a workshop is full and waitlisted, if we fill your spot with another paying student, we will credit your Mindbody account for the amount you paid.
