Amelia McGrath

Amelia has been a yoga student for over a decade, coming back to the mat time and time again for its grounding and empowering practice. As a teacher, she hopes to foster a space that mirrors this intentionality for her students. She believes in the power of community, and leads class using the breath as both a tool for movement and a vessel for holding space together. She knows each class is an opportunity to learn something from one another, and is honored to share this space with each student. She teaches with an alignment based and injury prevention focus, and aims to make each class accessible to every body through mindful modifications, cueing, and prop use. She completed her 200-hour teacher training at Three Queens Yoga in 2023, and continued her education by assisting Alyssa Martin’s prenatal classes and trainings.

Off the mat, Amelia works full-time for a reentry organization that supports justice-impacted individuals, and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work degree from Bryn Mawr College. She hopes to one day combine her love of yoga with clinical services as a LCSW. When she’s not at work or school, she’s most likely with one of her four boys (her two cats, roommate, or partner!).
