Lumos Barre Teacher Training is an empowering, comprehensive program developed by our very own instructors, Jessica Reinhardt and Sara Houser. This training is designed for anyone ready to deepen their practice, refine their understanding of barre technique, and step confidently into the role of instructor. We'll blend hands-on learning, mentorship, and a deep dive into barre fundamentals with our signature approach to intentional, empowering movement. Whether you're looking to lead classes or enrich your personal practice, this training will give you the tools and confidence to step into your voice as an instructor.

In this training, you will learn: 

  • Musicality - the power of music in Barre

  • Anatomy in Action: Body Basics for Barre Instructors, including modifications and amplifications

  • Barre Fundamentals - the positions and movements that make up a barre class

  • Sequencing and Cueing

  • The Power of Props

  • Trauma Conscious Approaches to Movement Practices

  • How to design and create your own barre classes (not memorizing a script and choreography)

At Lumos, we believe that teaching barre is a powerful act of leadership. Our approach is rooted in empowerment, intentional movement, and inclusivity. Throughout this training, you will not only deepen your understanding of barre technique and class structure—you’ll also explore the why behind each cue, sequence, and interaction.

Lumos Barre Teacher training is offered as a group training, but is also available in a one-on-one setting if you cannot attend the group training, or we don’t have one coming up!
