Emily Kashka-Ginsburg

Emily was born and raised in Las Vegas, where she began practicing yoga in her teens to help recover from one of her many injuries as a pole vaulter. She continued practicing yoga during and beyond her collegiate athlete years, finding solace in her practice as a way to connect with breath, find joy in movement, and to invert without flying through the air. After joining Lumos for work exchange in 2021, she completed a 50-HR YTT and Yoga Sculpt training with Josie at Lumos. In 2022, she completed a Restorative Yoga Training with Erick Dupree at Three Queens Yoga. Lumos also introduced her to the world of Pilates, leading to her completing a Mat Pilates training under Ellie Herman in 2023 and a Springboard workshop in 2024

Emily loves teaching a range of classes including high intensity Sculpt, strengthening mat & springboard Pilates, and grounding Stretch & Restore. She believes that fitness is for every body and teaches classes that meet you where you are with both lower impact modifications as well as options to turn up the heat. Above all, she wants you to have fun and leave class feeling empowered. Off the mat, Emily works in higher education. She's lived in Philly since 2015 with her husband and cats.
