Kate Jensen
Movement has always been central to Kate’s life. Growing up competing in powerlifting, Olympic lifting, and track, she went on to earn her bachelor’s in Physical Education. During college, Kate began personal training and teaching Pilates-inspired mat classes, eventually expanding into barre. She managed her college’s group exercise programs and created her own fitness business while graduating with her master’s in spring 2025. Her thesis explored women's habits and barriers in the weight room, fueling her passion for helping others discover movement they love.
Kate holds a 300-hour Mat and Reformer Pilates certification from The Reformery, completed in 2025, and an ACE Personal Training certification. She has over four years of experience coaching and teaching.
Her teaching style is simple yet dynamic, with flowing transitions that make classes welcoming, effective, and engaging. She believes group exercise is more than a workout, it builds confidence and community, providing a vital third space to focus on both body and mind. Inspired by her early work in kids’ recreation and social-emotional growth, she’s dedicated to helping all ages find support and joy through movement..
YOUR TEACHING STYLE: supportive, engaging and intentional
MUSIC/SONGS ON ROTATION IN YOUR CLASS: I’m into all genres and love when the playlist matches the flow of class, especially chill, beat‑driven tracks like hip hop and Afrobeats, with some pop and the occasional throwback mixed in to keep it fun.
